For almost a decade Excellerate Performance Ltd has been been helping progressive New Zealand companies develop the potential and improve the performance of their employees, leaders and teams. HOW WE WORK
Excellerate's expertise is human performance technology (HPT). This holistic approach draws on a wide range of disciplines including training, instructional system design, coaching, quality improvement and human resource management, with the ultimate goal of improving the performance of the organisation. This methodology enables us to view your needs through a wide lens before recommending the best strategy to achieve your objectives. Most importantly it ensures we avoid jumping to solutions and offering one size fits all answers.
We achieve this by working closely with you to determine the performance needs of your people and the objectives of your business before designing your development strategy. Then, where appropriate, we assist you with the implementation. This approach produces smart and creative yet very practical solutions and, because we genuinely want to see you succeeed, we willingly share our knowledge so you build your in-house capability to sustain this over the long-term.

THE PROBLEM: Poor internal team communication and with other teams resulting in errors, frustration and poor relationships
THE SOLUTION: IMPROVE THE PROCESS PROVIDE JOB AID Improve the team meeting process include a simple job aid to ensure accurate, timely transmission of relevant information to the right people at the right time. Plus a little one on one coaching to help the team leader with the new process.
THE PROBLEM: Lack of co-ordination between departments resulting in mulitiple issues
THE SOLUTION: IMPROVE THE PROCESS Improved planning and reporting processes, revised production meeting membership, structure and frequency. Meeting face time reduced while communication between departments improved
THE PROBLEM: Team with error rates, heavy work loads and high stress levels
THE SOLUTION: ISOLATE ROOT CAUSES REDESIGN PROCESS AND PROCEDURES Facilitated team analysis, isolated and prioritised primary issues. Resulted in streamlined processes, redesign of documents, delgated decision making - reduced stress, happier team and customers
♦ STRENGTHENING INDIVIDUAL PERFORMANCE ♦
THE PROBLEM: Employee under performing resulting in escalating customer complaints
THE SOLUTION: ASSESS JOB FIT, PROVIDE COACHING AND CAREER GUIDANCE One on one coaching, rather than training, enabled the employee to recognise they were in the wrong job. They elected a different career path and excelled.
THE PROBLEM: Another under performing employee tracking towards disciplinary action
THE SOLUTION: CLARIFY PERFORMANCE NEEDS AND IMPROVE THE PROCESS Instigated regular planning meetings with manager, redefined job description and reallocated tasks. Productivity, accuracy and morale increased. Errors and conflict decreased. |

♦ SHARON Feltham Director, Course Leader, Consultant and Coach
Sharon discovered her passion early in life which lead her into teaching however in her (youthful) search for adventure she found herself in the Armed Forces where she was involved in the education and training of service personnel. Following her commendation for outstanding military service she moved into Human Resource and senior management roles with several large NZ organisations. During this time she worked closely with managers, employees and unions to implement performance improvement initiatives and award winning training programmes. Drawing on this experience, Sharon went on to establish Excellerate driven by her continuing passion and commitment to make a real difference to the people and organisations she works with.

Director of NZQA Dip of Strategic Leadership, Associate, Course Leader and Coach
Aiden is the programme Director for the NZQA Diploma of Strategic Leadership. His passion for leadership and seeing people released into fulfilling their maximum potential, has lead him to help others achieve higher levels of excellence. Many of the people Aiden has worked with describe the experience as life changing. Aiden, not only shares the talent of fellow experts, but the pragmatism for translating strategy and coaching into effective practice.
♦ MYRENE McLeod Associate, Course Leader, Consultant and Coach
Myrene's early background in sport and physical education developed her skills as a performance coach. In the corporate world she has designed and introduced development programmes across a diverse range of operations, coaching team leaders and managers in their role as team coach and performance manager. She worked closely with sales teams to establish small business units intiating improvements that immediately transferred into increased sales and profitability. With a Diploma in Business from the University of Auckland she has consulted with a wide range of NZ companies training internal trainers, developing performance improvement and management systems, as well as NZQA unit standards and assessors. |
