Executive Leasing, Short and Fixed Term Contract Work

Executive Leasing is an attractive option for people who enjoy project work because of the variety and the opportunity to extend their skills and expertise into a variety of different industries.

Executive leasing is the term used to describe the short-term, assignment specific use of a highly skilled professional. There has been a huge increase in the use of leased executives by New Zealand employers in the past five years. Companies will use Leased Executives in a variety of ways:

  • To cover an unexpected vacancy in a mission-critical rolep, or a parental leave vacancy
  • To cover for a position while the organisation recruits a permanent replacement
  • For additional resourcing for a particular project or where specialist skills are required
  • During a period of organisational change with a “no new hires" policy
  • During exceptionally busy workloads

Most major recruitment companies provide contract services while some specialise in executive leasing services. Contact them directly to arrange a time to discuss if contracting would be an appropriate employment option for you.
