Making the Transition to Team Leader
This introductory course focuses on the core leadership and management skills to help new supervisors with the challenging transition from team member to team leader. It introduces the fundamentals of motivation, communication, time and priority management, team building, developing employees, managing performance and dealing with difficult employees. It can run as a 3 day course or as series of 1 day workshops

This course involves hands on coaching supported by feedback, peer and self-assessment to enable critical evaluation of your coaching style, strengths and abilities. Non performing employees drain time, energy and morale. Managed poorly situations can deteriorate into costly, time wasting and damaging disciplinary action. This course examines the need for change, stages of change, the critical elements and practical steps of effective change management: planning, communicating, implementing; how to generate buy in, deal with resistance and those who actively sabotage change

An Introduction to Basic Strategy
This course is based on the Basic Strategy paper from the NZ Diploma in Strategic Leadership. It provides leaders who have had little previous training with an introduction to the basic models and concepts associated with strategy and achieving sustainable competitive advantage. It explores how organisations and industries compete, strategic analysis in various organisational contexts, and introduces the models and tools needed to formulate and implement successful strategies

NZQA Diploma in Strategic Leadership | Learn more»

The NZQA Diploma in Strategic Leadership is a recognised tertiary qualification specifically designed for mid level and senior managers.

The programme includes papers in Basic Strategy, Strategic Innovation, Leadership, Empowerment, Coaching, Change and Project Management. It is a two-year in house programme involving one 6-hour lecture block per month, combined with private study and assignments leading to the NZQA Diploma Qualification
