How Do You Work?

Your dedicated Excellerate facilitator works with you to ensure that your meeting or programme is successful from inception through to implementation.

I: The Planning and Preparation Phase

Prior to designing your meeting process or event programme your facilitator will consult with you (as well as stakeholders and team members where appropriate) to develop a sound understanding of your needs. The planning stage is critical to your success so do bring your facilitator into the planning process as soon as possible. This phase involves:

  • Clarifying and defining your purpose, goals and specific outcomes 
  • Developing a comprehensive understanding of the context, dynamics and issues
  • Co-designing a focused agenda to ensure you accomplish your objectives
  • Clarifying which aspects of the process you would like us to organise and which you will control
  • Developing and coordinating communications and any prework to prepare and engage stakeholders prior to the event

 

II: The Group Facilitation Phase

Your facilitator will design a process using methods that are best suited to your needs, based upon your specific objectives, issues, measures of success and time-frame - and maximise your time together by:

  • Creating a safe structure for the group to work in
  • Managing the group dynamics to ensure focus, constructive dialogue and collaboration
  • Guiding the group through creative, problem solving and decision making processes.
  • Helping the group to resolve any conflict and dissent
  • Helping the group to review and adjust its performance

III: The Follow Up Phase
